It's pretty bizarre. Hope you enjoy.

Well that was a bit wierd.
The constant yelling sound got a bit anouying at times, and from what I could tell from the teaser it looked like you just got a few scenes that youv only just completed and decided to put into a short teaser. Although it does make me want to see more, the old film clip bit at the end was really well made.

Well hope all goess well.

I hope not. If there were to be voices, it would seem very awkward if our ideas of what the characters sounded like was very different from the movie's. Not to mention it would jack up the file size.

Awesome teaser, by the way.

As of now, it's still text, unless something can convince me that it would be worth all the trouble of probably tripling the already huge file size, finding VAs that can match the expectations I have of characters who've already been established, and making sure they turn out perfect, because I'd make people do their lines over if I didn't like them.

I haven't abandoned the possibility, but I'm not expecting anything to change my mind either.

Thanks for the comments. I've gotten a lot more done since this, but it's going to be a long wait. I'll release some trailers as it gets closer to completion.

there's very few people in the community who can act, it'd be pretty hard to find the perfect people.

It's certainly not that I don't like the idea of using voices in general, I have extremely high standards for voice acting and wouldn't put it in my movie unless it was absolutely perfect.

Heeey, that was pretty cool!

It would've been so much more cool without those screens you posted the other day though, heh. Nah, seriously though, those scenes just overwhelmed my computer, so it ran at like 1 frame a second! So yeah, now I've got some pretty high expectations for the movie, and I know you aren't gonna let down either!

Though that was a pretty funky teaser, ha ha. That first animated scene was the bestest, no doubt. MMM!

Heh, I was thinking about this too. Should have released it at the same time.

Wow, was it really running that slow? Man, some of these later scenes are going to eat your computer alive. ;_;

Thanks for the comments!

There's really no way around it. Working 24/7 I wouldn't be able to get the movie out this year. Not that that's an option with college going on now anyway.

If I really push it I might be able to get it out in the summer, but that's like trying to do AV3 twice in half the time.

That was just as awsome as it was confusing...which is "very". Looks incredible....now I have to go download all of the other bjillion Vlarion episodes... BTW- where was that handmade crow?? I went the whole preview waiting to see it in 3dmm and it never showed up!

Err, not in there? I'll send you a .3mm file for it later though.

Edit: Yeah, it was pretty weird. I added the laughter in at the last minute to emphasize that, no, I wasn't taking the chanting seriously. In fact, the first time I cut it together I couldn't stop laughing. Maybe it's just me.

Review up at EP.

That was.. strange. Some very interesting scenery/animation techniques, but.. strange.

Yeah, that was the idea. Like I said, the laugh at the end was to make sure people knew I wasn't taking the chanting seriously, but I'm beginning to wish I hadn't added it in. Without it, it almost looks like some kind of arthouse indie movie.

This is the first time I've ever done anything like a teaser or preview for a movie, and I wanted to just throw something really bizarre together without any explanation and let the viewers try to puzzle it out; of course, this always seems funnier at the time, and reactions can run negatively if the audience doesn't appreciate being headfaked. Personally, I find regular 'dramatic' trailers and teasers kind of boring, since they always try to play the movie to be bigger than it really is (both in 3dmm and in real movies). I always like to see previews that show me a different angle of a movie than what the rest of the hype has, which is sort of what I was going for here and will be going for in the trailers (which will be probably be much more coherent). This was more of a weird experiment than anything else; visuals will always speak for themselves, but at the same time I figured I might as well have fun with it.

Thanks for the review. I'll put together a screenshot/info package for the Upcoming Movies section soon.

Weird, I was just reading this and wondering if I should track down a working link and edit my first post.

And so I will. But keep in mind, I lost ALL of this and have to start over mostly from scratch.

Edit: Link updated.
