Our World

This is a movie I sent into dragon films a couple months ago that I never really said anything about or told the public it is there, I'm a noob i'll admit and this is my first released movie so make all the mean comments you want, it won't get to me, so, ya

This movie is about me and my friends live but its a uhhh a "little" exaggerated (is that spelled right?) but I think I did a fairly good job, I didn't have a microphone at the time and some jokes you may not get but oh well.

As I said you can say whatever you want about it, you can insult me or the movie, driving me away from joining the community, and thus making this community even smaller.

Probably not a good idea to jump to this conclusion right off the bat. I've found the general pattern to be that if you assume people are going to be negative, it increases the negativity. I'll check this out soon and give you some feedback though.

(Oh, and welcome, fellow DF alumni )

Dragon Films! Dragon Films!

Top link: Corrupted? Bottom link: tried to reach file, froze window, shut down IE. Bummer!

GOT IT Top link wouldn't work if I wasn't accessing the page, but the bottom link would freeze when I try to click its link. Solution? Open the bottom link, and then click the top link from this page, not from there. Fooled it!

...Now it says there weren't any files to extract. Shoot. That may be a compression problem? Hm.

Is that denny guy the only one having problems getting the file?
The bottom one is a website link, if you click on it, then it should bring you to the site.

REVIEW. Contains Spoilers

So dude, I actually watched this thing. Honestly it seemes like you may want to learn a few things from VGN2 if you liked it so much... The runtime on this movie is actually fairly long. 10-15 mins at least i seems like... or maybe thats just the slowness of the movie. About half of the movie is constructed in default scenes, the only music used is MIDI, which sounds awful. There's no speech whatsoever and hardly any sound effects used whatsover.

No onto what was bad about this movie. First off, if you've seen JDR Revival or VGN2 a lot of this will look quite familar. Not in terms of anmiation, Hell no. but in terms of randomness and ideas used, yes. Its about like that. The Animation is really really piss poor, I think if you compared this to the first animation you ever made, or the first 3dmm animation you'd ever seen, (Action Joe 1 maybe) Its about like that... Nahh, I take that back, probably not quite as good as AJ1. Anyways, so we got this Kid drew just chillin at his house right? and his friends all come over each with their own unique persona, Tony being some annoying pain in the ass whom you would NEVER invite over, and a few others. One was a D&D fan and the others were all no name turds....

Alright, There actually were a few scenes I actually like... one. Where the guy was like "What are we waiting for?? and throws the "bomb" at the wall that was like 2 feet away from him. Also, the effects on the last scene, used on the Crosses was pretty sick looking. nice job there. So here's what it all comes down to. You need to work on your animation. Make everyone walk at the same time, don't be afraid to move them faster then the walk. Don't have things appear and dissapear out of nowhere. Seriously, that guitar there at the end was God-Awful, make it look the way you want in the first frame. That jumping around shit looks Horrible. Next, use something other then Midi, even a piss poor low quality WAV file would sound better then what you had. And lastly, well not lastly, but this is all I'll cover. use voices man. I admit, the HMC on the island that "talked" but had no words come out looked nice, just imagine if he was actually talking. It would have looked that much better. I would also really help your motonous music that just drags throughout the movie, with hardly any sound other then that. That stated... some sound effects would be nice too. Oh yeah. there is one more thing.. use a different scnes transistion other then fading. You get so sick of watching that by the end.

So all in all. If you want to see JDR and VGN directed by Jeff Ching, this might just be your bag, Baby.

45%

Well whenever I start on a really awesome movie i never get very far because it gets boring and I get a new idea. So my next will be better and probably have voices ( if i make another )

Well, the animation sucked, scenery was average, but I'll be damned if I didn't laugh my ass off. Sometimes it was funny, sometimes it's because the humour was bad.

Well this is not my greatest work, I didn't know too many effects when I made it, and I sort of made it for my friends since I had to move

I'll try to download JDR Revival but it will take forever on a 56k modem

I was just so touched by that comment I HAD TO WATCH IT! Obviously there's a lot of room for improvement, but it was actually pretty funny. One of the jokes I really liked is how when they're sentenced to death, one of the charges is "bothering headhunters". Hahaha, I dunno, it just sounds funny. Oh yeah, and I have to thank you, this movie opened my eyes to how many innocent children could be hurt due to us not putting a "Don't attempt anything like this at home" warning at the end of VGN2. Poor bastards...

Hahaha, the movie was actually not bad. I'm actually gonna go ahead and vote for this movie at the box office.

Yes the animations were bad. This guy's new, probably hasn't seen very many movies, I'll cut him a bit of slack.

But....it was actually pretty god damn funny! I'll call this the "Cabin Fever of 3dmm movies" as in....the awesomeness of this movie stems from how absolutely dumb and irrational it is. It's hilarious how stupid the movie is! (I'm not really critisizing your movie with that comment, cuz I happen to love "Cabin Fever")

The guy's running into the TV was hilarious!! And it was really funny how the guy was bleeding to death and his friend is like, "This guy has like 20 blood circles in the other room"

that's a good self referencing joke!

The movie was just funny in really dumb ways. Like why the fuck did they burn down the hospital for no reason? And they're like, "oh, so no health-care for you"

The part that made me laugh the hardest though was, "Check this out, we stole a bomb. Now let's throw the bomb at the school"

"Oh ok. But let me take a piss first" * Runs into the school to take a piss *

The idiotic way of detonating the bomb was also quite amusing. And how they threw the bomb like 2 feet and it blew up.

That was hilarious!! Or how the guy would shoot someone on a plane for no reason and no one on the plane reacted to it at all.

I have to say, the three people dying via Crusixtion actually took me by surprise. That was funny ending, and nice tribute to "LIfe of Brian"

Animations are bad, midis are bad, but I gotta admit...I laughed a lot at this movie! In general, I...I sorta liked this movie!

If I had still had "Ching and Mosher" going, I'd give this a marginal thumbs up.
