The General - Released

Guerilla Filmmaking, gentlemen. Did some scenes today, imported them repeated times, created this stupid movie. Got some fast people to do voices, and baam. A short little 900 kb movie.

It is about a war veteran who is obsessed with all the filth in the city, so he decides to clean it. By filth I mean junkies, whores, and the like. Mayhem ensues.

It was originally going to be serious, but it's just kinda... Well, funny. In a macabre sort of way.

I can feel not many will like it, but I DON'T CARE. Because it was one day's work. HA!

Why do you make posts saying "I'm downloading the movie" ? Is this just a sad atempt to add to your post count? Please explain...

------------------------------------------
That was pretty good for a days work and since i have never seen Taxi Driver i'm ok i really liked the blood in your movie and i though the work out bit was well animated. Over all it was well worth the download.

I haven't seen taxi driver.

as for the movie, I liked it!!

I think andres said it was meant to be funny, and it was!!

especially that convenient store part, ahahahahahahaha!!

I liked the plot of the movie of this guy going insane!

though idea of him killing was very obvius, and i was kinda hoping that he'd find something else to do, but he killed.

but some of the killings were fuckin hilarius!

This is a good dark/humor kinda movie! This is the first andres de la hoz movie in a while that I actually liked.

As I said, it started serious, but then I realized just how stupid the whole thing was so I added things like the Eye Of The Tiger training, staring blankly, etc.

Ahh, but Fester! Taxi Driver was YOUNGER, HAHA!
Yes, it's similar, but Taxi Driver takes a more serious approach rather than "i'm a cleaner, baby!".
ok.

Yeah, i didnt particularily enjoy too much. There was just nothing there good aside from voices and some blood. The direction was non existant, the story was non existant, the animation was mediocre, and there was no climax-no point you couldnt predict. It was a short movie so I expected at least ONE of these areas to be expanded upon. Like if it had sweet animation, or it was just real funny, or if it had a cool plot, but no... bland, boring, and predictable. 3/5. The reson it got a such a good mark is because of pacing, yes it did lack in so many areas, but the pacing kept up so that they all blended together to make the movie watchable.

I know. I've seen the tapes. Harf.

So, what did I think of this moovie? Well, it had a vocal narrative which is something that I love in any movie, so that's good. It was a short drama, which is what I like to make, so that's good. It had the best blood animations I've ever seen, though I haven'tseen any new movies recently, but hey. The guy falling on to the dustbins was excellent, as were all the other murders as the movie descended into DD-dom. Yep, there were similarities I must say.

Now, one thing I didn't like was the ending - you know, the very last bit. That was really too much like Asylum for me. Too "in your face", too uncomfortable, too loud and, I do think, too unnecessary. If you haven't guessed, I'm talking abuot the electrocution bit. Yeah, that shuoldn't'a been there I think. I woulda had the man sitting in prison still wondering why they put him there when all he was doing was good. Increase the madness!

But all in all, it was stylish and reminded me a lot of American Psycho. I noticed the fade on the eye of the tiger bit, and that made me smile.
