Actors Holding Props

I have download the Alien Gun and have a sort of stick prop too in my movie. I want my character to hold the gun and shoot, amd another character to hold the stick and beat the first one. How can I make them "hold" things and make them use those props for shooting, beating, and so on?

I think it should be quite easy. Please explain the method. Thank you!

You'd have to do it manually

You can't attach objects to actors so they move together, the only way to do it is to move the stick or the gun frame-for-frame on the actors hand.

It's important to realize that 3dmm is, at its core, a stop-motion animation platform. You animate anything beyond the normal "actions" frame by frame. In fact most movies even with default actions are still modified frame by frame.

Yes, I got that. Now, the problem is that I want the actor to point its hand towards its left/front/right and shoot. I can do the shooting animation, but now how should I raise its hand to its left/front/right side?

Oh, so is there a way I can customize the movement of the character's hands in directions so that it shoots in different directions? Please explain.

A good way to have an actor aim a gun is to use the 'greet' action on him, but freeze it halfway in, when his arm is pointed forwards. this also works with the 'karate kick' action.

Actor fonts are too complicated. Even I never figured out how to use them, and I'm AWESOME at 3D Movie Maker.

Actor fonts have an insane skill curve, but if you master them then you can make some of the most impressive stuff.

Here's an example of (basic) animation with actor fonts.
