Seriously no attempts to guess? It's an unfinished eye of remastered Bongo. More to come

the poly count and textures will be lowered regardless.
still looking forward to the final product, though. keep us updated.

Actually i didn't even think to transport it to v3dmm. Didn't know it's even possible. The character you see on the video has almost 2 millions polygons, his simplified unpolished version "only" 8 thousands. Could v3dmm handle this? Even if so, is any animation possible?
My goal is to remaster few 3dmm characters and make a movie with them in blender, something like 3dmm 2. I'm not knowledgeable about transfering it to v3dmm, but if some of you, guys is able to do this, i can upload my .obj file somewhere.

Hi. Sorry for not getting updates for some time, but i've already started making Escape for Revenge 2. Starting scene is already finished below and i've put some of remastered Bongo in too. I'm very proud of it, as you guys can see it looks stunning. Movement isn't quite realistic yet, Bongo's 2 hairs aren't subject to gravity and he has symmetrical, healthy eyesight (what a flaw, lol), but it's just the sample and corrections will take place (but i also consider leaving symmetrical eyes, as this Bongo won't be the same person as the one from prequel).

What about sharing Bongo for larger group of 3d movie makers... well i'm not familiar with such tricks. I think the Blender is the only resort right now. I'd send the model to anyone interested.

The creation of the whole production will probably take few years (4-5)...

ah ok cool.

yeah that Bongo animation is awesome! I thought about recreating a character in Blender but never followed through with it, so it's nice to see somebody did it, and also stuck so close to the original, and even animated it. Love the facial expressions and the eye shift too!

Are you self-taught on Blender?

I learned from YouTube. Especially Darrin Lile's videos about making a character are easy to understand, and they helped me the most. Blenderartists forum was/is helpful too. Yet it took me almost a year to create Bongo, but on the other hand i was doing other stuff for that time too, like that frog and the forest. About facial expressions irises' movement on those Bongo's irregular eyeballs was the most difficult task. Eye shift will be explained in the movie's plot on the future. In that part in the sample Bongo is kinda transforming into his brother (except shifted eye they differ in few other things). One is a cop and the other was a prison guard, so i decided to remaster Bongo's default outfit into some military camouflage outfit.

Blender is super cool. I've been messing around with this pixel art shader for game art or whatever. Its a pain to work with, but it can make some cool stuff.

It's the cost of unrestricted possibilities i suppose . Though practice makes perfect. Watching some of blender pro guys on YT i presume they could sculpt my Bongo for 1 weekend instead of months.

You can check it out here. It's an external renderer, but the problem is that it's very rudimentary.

Here's very interesting style too, but also a bit cpu consuming, because it's required to entirely copy a character to create the outlines:

Thanks, hope i won't abandon the project. I already am a bit tired of the last video to be honest, but i created the first Escape for Revenge with all those tedious expansions, so maybe i'm fucked up enough for the job
