Read this when making a prop (or actor)

PLEASE keep something in mind: Size. This is a personal gripe for me, having to resize things every time I want to use them. Particularly, MD2s. There are some workarounds however. Some might be easy, and some might be hard...

Anywho...
IF you are doing something like a gun model, for example, it's a good idea to extract the hands of an actor for reference. Let's use Gustave's hand for now, as it's not too big, nor too small. (Click the picture to download)

Now, for the program, We are going to be using Misfit Model 3D (1.3.8). It's free, simple to use, and has alot of useful features.

And for the model, we are using the Moonraker Laser (From Goldeneye: Source. Also comes with the textures)

https://mega.nz/#!LgFkTAQA!QxJojCsSskUtsm3eqYAEnDZAZJLtkaJrZjugGwV LHA8

Now that we have our models, we now must open up Moonraker.OBJ in MM3D. It should look something like this:

We must follow multiple procedures before beginning the process of resizing.

1. Rotate the gun to face the correct direction
2. Add textures to it (If there are any)
3. MAKE SURE that the files are inside of your 7Gen directory, otherwise 7Gen won't be able to find any of the texture or model files.
4 (Optional). Make sure the texture is palletized with Eukos' Palleterizer, so there is no dithering (Which most of the time, is bad if there is dithering).

It SHOULD like like this:

ALRIGHT, procedures followed? Good. Now comes the fun part. Open up the Model tab at the top, and go to merge. Than, look for that Gustave hand model you downloaded earlier, and you should get a dialogue that looks like this:

Now, you should see something highlighted in red. This is Gustave's hand.
DO NOT
-Resize it
-Move it into the first model (It will frustrate you a bit)
-Drag it off screen super far

Ok, so now move it to the side. Rotate it to the hand to the direction you'd like, and begin resizing the first model (Moonraker laser). Select the resize tool. In the top left corner, you'll see an option called "Proportion".

Change this from "Free" (or "Keep Aspect 2D"), to "Keep Aspect 3D" (So that all axis' are resized. And, it should look a little something like this:

Then select this tool:

Select Gustave's hand, and delete it. Move the model back to the middle of the grid (It has a red, blue and green lines). You're done! Now onto other objects.

If you are doing something like a car, you'll want a model of an actor. For this, I'll supply Golden Gusty, once again.

You can use him for reference when making something like a spaceship, or car, or whatever.

If you need any help, I'll be there to help ya'!
