We are going to make this a hiatus movie-ish thread, where when you are done, just post a link and we will edit it into this post.

At Rest is simple. Gregory is at rest. If he uses any other animation, he's hit by a fucking car.

Moments Earlier is a little more complicated to explain. You start off with a still shot, then portray what happened moments earlier to explain the still shot. See my entry for an example. Its rather easy once you see for yourself!

ALPHABET
Someone finds a letter and touches/kicks/"accesses" it, after which an object that letter starts with falls out of it. Please call your letter ahead of time, and just do one for now.

We're slightly better organized now, so here's how the quality filtering works. We will filter it if:

1. It's already been done more than once
2. It's way too long
3. It's not funny
4. It completely ignores the rules or misses the point

When in doubt, keep it simple. We want quick, funny variations on ideas, something you can whip up in 10-30 minutes.

Finally, feel free to come up with new premises, just make sure they are simple. For example, At Rest's only rules are that Gregory is hit by a car if he does a default action other than At Rest. If the idea is too complex, variations on it take too long and get confusing. Feel free to submit one-shot jokes as well, for example: http://www.lockntoad.com/homyguyz/dpc.vmm

You are encouraged to stick to default 3dmm stuff when possible, don't get too complex unless you really think it's worth it. And finally, when we have many premises going, feel free to crisscross them.

Basically we want people to understand the different kinds of things we're doing, so a thread is the best way to keep everyone up-to-date on what's been done and the kind of things they can contribute.

Later, there'll be enough momentum and everyone will understand the project that we won't have to post everything we make. But for now, this helps motivate people and get them interested and contributing.

We have an ulterior motive, though: Later on, we want multiple premises going simultaneously and publicly, so that people will begin to merge the premises together and try all sorts of variations and combinations on each theme.

They can easily be removed if they weren't used.

And yeah, try not to use Nick unless you absolutely need it. If you must have a Nick sound effect, try to export it and load it as a regular wav file. Scratch that, Tuna already used a Nickelodeon background in his Moments Earlier.
