A New Movie To Start 20-oh-7.

I'm starting 20-oh-7 with a new movie.

I've come up with a good idea for a drama/thriller/mystery sorta movie.

I only started the script today, but thought i'd announce it now. If it turns out the way i vision it, it should be a 15-25min movie, but we will see.

I'll hopefully start voice auditions next month. But don't expect this to be releasing before March/April.

More info soon, including a trailer (hopefully by late February) and some screens.

Here's a spoiler to tease you all and get you thinking.
Time for me to leave and i hope i don't miss the 6:53 train.

Update:
Script is actually coming along nicely. I'm actually getting it done alot faster than i thought i would get it done.

I have also constructed alot of large scale models already. And they don't look to bad, except for the texture warping 'glitch'. I'll put up some screens of the models soonish. (a day or so)

I may also need some help animating some brief but intense fist fights. So if there is anyone good at that sort of thing, please consider helping me out.

I do believe that what i'm making is a 3dmm.com first. More info on that later.

Well that's all for the update.

* goes back to working on the script *

Increase the polycount to eliminate texture warping. As long as you don't brush against 3DMM's ~16000 polygon limit for polygons using a single texture, you should be okay.

I am actually really interested in this sir...This and Bevis's new movie should make a better year for 3dmm. I have a few things up my sleeve as well. If you need someone to look over the script I'd be willing too, that's about all I can offer you for this since I am not exactly a 3dmm wizard. Good luck.

Aaron, i tried adding more polys using the subdivide option in Milkshape (the only way i know how) and it absolutely trashes the model and screws up the textures by mixing them all together.

Am i doing the right thing or not? I really don't want to re-build the entire models from scratch.

Oh and Warren, thanks for the script review offer, i'll take it into consideration.

It depends on what the model is. Flat planes should be able to be subdivided without it screwing up the geometry, and if worse comes to worse you should be able to reapply the texture wrapping. I have no idea how it works in Milkshape, though.

Ok. I'll leave them how they are for now with the texture warp.

Thanks anyway.

Almost ready to post pics of the models. I'll do so tomorrow.

Here is a list of what to expect.
- A city
- A subway train station
- A train
- An open train station (basically you're typical outer city train station)

And then there are the ones that are not started yet, which i'll post pics of when i finish them...
- Train interior
- Exterior of a house
- Interior of the same house

Whereas for now, i'm tired and heading off to bed.

Update:

Here are some pics of the model/scenes ive been making.

- A subway train station

This pic turned out awesome. It really brings out the detail on the graffiti wall.

This one shows how small the subway station is. I'm likely to make the platform wider for the final design.

- A train

Some different angles of a singular Train carriage.

- An open train station (basically you're typical outer city train station)

This is a great shot as it shows the wire mesh fence in the foreground.

A high shot of some of the station. The texture of the building got stuffed up and ended up the same as the ground.

Unfortunately i couldn't fix up the city by tonight. The textures were all up the wazoo. So i'll try and get pics of the city soon.

As for some of those pics above, the textures are a little bright and not final and may change.

One more important thing i would like to point out, is that the addverts in the subway are required as they relate to what happens in the movie and it also ads a little more realism.

Holy shit .

I'd love to play around with some of that stuff. Reminds me of Syphon Filter.

Very nice! They remind me of the sets Eric R made for Charlie, which is by no means a bad thing. Good luck with the film!

Pretty cool screens. If you're willing to add a few more textures, however, it may be in your best interest to add some different shades of textures to make the whole thing a little more dynamic.

Just on your comments HMC, i agree with you there, i was just happy enough that they actually came out very close to what i imagined (the actual models not the textures). So for the final design i'll try to add more textures to it.

Thanks for your advice.

Update:

My movie has finally been named and you can find a text based teaser for it in the movies section.

http://www.3dmm.com/showthread.php?t=21625

My movie is to be titled 'Prophecy Of Destiny: Illusions Of The Unseen Truth'.

If you want to know the reason for the name, you will just have to wait for the movie.

That's all for now.
