Not to mention, the concept of a story in which the characters are just substitutions for the writer's friends who are also contributing to the story is so utterly banal and juvenille and literally never works in any literary medium.

Again, I hate to rain on your parade, but there are a lot of shitty webcomics out there, and yours doesn't do anything to really stand out. I know this is just a 'demo', but I'm skeptical to the idea that you and your friends are capable of such a massive sudden turnaround.

No, he doesn't. I actually did give him a bunch of comments on one and then the final draft comes and... welp, no changes. And they were non-subjective things like grammar.
