I see your point, but it's a let down when you download the sample and you dig it, and you start to get into the song and it fades out; then you go to Kazaa or Limewire and can't find anything by the band, let alone the song that you heard.

I started liking Turbonegro long before Bam even discovered them. Their lyrics and how they dress is also awesome and Turbonegro, in my opinion is the first REAL band coming from Norway. If you didn't know already I'm from Norway too. Have you even heard Turbonegro, BR? I'll post a sample soon.

Now HIM and CKY is a bit different. I found out about them while I was watching CKY3 but I didn't know Bam liked them so much at the time. I started liking HIM and CKY because I thought it was great music to use in skate videos..... Yes I skateboard too BUT not because of Bam. Let's take Clutch and Placebo as an example. I heard Placebo first in SSX3 so afterwards I went to go and get an album. A few months ago I heard the same song in Viva La Bam. Again same thing happened with Clutch, I heard one of their song in Hitman Contracts and poof, it turned out Bam liked them too.

Sure I'm a Bam fan but I'm not that obsessed, I know a few guys who are though. It gets annoying how most kids skate and listen to HIM, CKY, Turbonegro etc... Just because of Bam, it's pretty lame.

The only bands that don't look like complete and utter poseurs are Rush, Godpseed, Pink Floyd, and that guy Andres posted, and some other ones too but I'm to lazy to PFFF. But some of those could even be considered to be YEAH.

But people are just having fun. So they do air splits in front of photoshopped fire, or pose with swords and goblins, or have jet black hair and wear womans jeans, or act all vulnerable and sad, or are black. It's all part of the magic of everything not related to the music. It's all magic. MAGIC.
